Ever since I was a child, I have always loved animals. There were the species I thought were cool, and the ones that I thought were scary. Now as an adult, I wouldn’t say there are any that I fear, instead there are the ones that I respect. On one hand you respect them because you know that they can be dangerous, but on the other you respect them because when you are photographing them, you are in their world. You do not wish to disturb wildlife if you can help it; not only for your safety, but also to capture the moments and behaviors that make a wildlife photo special. In essence, photographing animals is like photographing people, when they’re comfortable, the shot is better, and the candid moments are picture perfect.
